The Jays have started to look at India as part of their 'Where in World' topic. They had an afternoon of cooking and taste tasting Indian foods. Most children tried everything, everyone tried something.
Foods included: rice, naan bread, Korma sauce, poppadoms with mango chutney and bombay potatoes - made from scratch!
The most popular seemed to be the Bombay potatoes even though they were the spiciest!
They learnt about different ingredients and spices that may be used including ginger, turmeric and onion seeds. What a great start to learning about a different country!
