The Owls have been super scientists this half term and have really embraced the scientific theme of predicting, finding out and drawing conclusions. We have thoroughly enjoyed all science afternoons, exploring materials, growing, the body and plants. We have been asking questions and testing out new ideas in our science lab role play area too. We thoroughly enjoyed our village walk and learnt the names of different flowers and trees. We are looking forward to even more science next half term as our ‘Summer of Science’ theme continues. In English, the owls have had a visit from the Rainbow Dragon whilst learning their new text. This, along with their research helped them to write their own reports on nocturnal animals. Next half term, we are looking forward to welcoming some real owls into school to find out even more. In maths, we have been learning the basics of multiplication, by creating equal groups and arrays. We have been using our 2s, 5s and 10s counting facts that we have been practising this year to help solve our multiplication questions.
